Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a skilled engineer to join the GPU Foundations Developer Tools team, focusing on performance analysis for next generation GPUs and SoCs. The role involves innovating and developing tools that enhance the performance profiling capabilities of NVIDIA hardware and software. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure high-quality support for developer tools and prototype new methods for data collection. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact the performance tools that developers rely on.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 4+ years of experience, or MS with 2+ years' experience, or Ph.D.
- Demonstrated expertise in the software stack, including C/C++/Python applications and both user-mode and kernel-mode drivers.
- Proven knowledge of CPU and/or GPU architecture, such as x86 or ARM.
- Solid understanding of hardware pipeline concepts and a willingness to work at a detailed implementation level.
- Knowledge of performance analysis concepts, particularly for GPU applications.
- Proficiency in hardware-software co-design principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Analyze hardware/software feature sets for next generation GPU and SoC performance tools.
- Review next generation chip features to ensure high-quality developer tools support.
- Collaborate with developer tools engineers, software library developers, and GPU architects on new features.
- Prototype new data collection methods to improve GPU development tools quality.
- Refine data collection processes with NVIDIA's GPU Architecture and Developer Technology teams.
