Job description

The Software Systems Integration and Test (SSIT) Engineer at Qualcomm will work within the Wireless R&D division, focusing on the development of advanced prototypes for next-generation wireless technologies such as 6G. This role involves comprehensive end-to-end feature validation, test-framework development, and process automation for large-scale software subsystems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
  • Understanding of multi-threading and OS fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams in a collaborative software engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop feature test plans and perform comprehensive end-to-end feature validation and testing for large-scale software subsystems.
  • Plan and execute feature validation for development milestones and external activities, including operator trials and demonstrations.
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks, test utilities, and test automation.
  • Plan and establish software, hardware, and network as part of the end-to-end system integration and test environment.
  • Collaborate with software development and system test teams to plan software releases and support efficient end-to-end software feature integration.
  • Debug complex embedded software and troubleshoot end-to-end software and hardware integration issues.
