The Senior Manager in Financial Services will lead actuarial advisory engagements within the Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services practice at EY. This role involves advising senior client stakeholders and shaping how actuarial work is delivered, particularly in the context of transformation and AI. The position requires a strong focus on building client relationships and developing diverse teams. The successful candidate will help insurers navigate complex challenges and pursue new growth opportunities.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- Approximately 8+ years of relevant actuarial experience, including leading people and/or complex projects.
- Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or a comparable actuarial credential.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. life, health, and/or annuity products.
- Strong writing, presentation, analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex actuarial advisory engagements from scope through delivery, balancing quality, commercial outcomes, risk, and budget.
- Advise chief actuaries, controllers, and finance leaders, translating complex issues into clear, practical recommendations.
- Bring depth in one or more areas such as modeling, actuarial audit, financial and regulatory reporting, transformation, product strategy, reinsurance, or capital management.
- Lead, coach, and develop diverse teams, serving as a counselor invested in others' growth.
- Build client relationships, help originate new work, and shape how AI and new technology are applied to deliver better outcomes.
