Job description

The Quantum Hardware Modeling - Research Scientist role at IBM Research focuses on designing, simulating, and laying out next-generation quantum processors. Requirements

  • Proficiency in experimental physics, particularly with low-noise cryogenic amplifiers.
  • Advanced knowledge of quantum operations, including multi-qubit gates optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Help design, simulate, and layout the next generation of IBM Quantum processors.
  • Invent and model new processor technologies, including novel gates and advanced readout schemes.
  • Design and simulate test devices and work closely with experimental teams to evaluate their performance.
  • Integrate successful innovations into the next generation of IBM Quantum processors.
