The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will build and own core systems for Alexa's agentic platform, focusing on areas such as evaluation infrastructure and reinforcement learning training systems. This role involves collaborating with applied scientists to transform research prototypes into reliable production infrastructure. The engineer will ensure the performance and reliability of systems that serve multiple Alexa agent programs. • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and code reviews
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design, build, and operate major components of the agentic AI platform.
• Lead the design work in your area by writing design documents and driving them through review.
• Own the reliability and performance of the systems you build.
• Partner with applied scientists to turn research code into production infrastructure.
• Scale the systems to handle hundreds of concurrent evaluation trials and long-context training jobs.
