Job description
This role is for a Senior Software Development Engineer focused on building AI-powered data preparation systems within AWS. The team is dedicated to innovating data quality solutions that leverage auto-labeling and human-in-the-loop workflows. You will work closely with machine learning science teams to enhance data quality for ML workflows. The position offers high visibility and the opportunity to influence product direction while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building ML pipelines or data processing systems at scale
- Hands-on experience with large language models
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver core components of the data preparation journey to customize and fine-tune LLMs in SageMaker.
- Build and scale systems leveraging auto-labeling and LLM-as-Judge techniques to improve data quality.
- Establish quality standards and evaluation frameworks for AI agents and models.
- Lead the evolution of human-in-the-loop services for data labeling and quality assurance.
- Mentor engineers and drive design reviews to enhance engineering quality.
- Make high-judgment architectural decisions across distributed systems and ML infrastructure.
