Job description

This entry-level position focuses on creating software integral to Cummins' products. The role involves understanding stakeholder requirements and developing specifications while being responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and release of software. The candidate will collaborate with product and software development teams to deliver verified software features. As experience is gained, the complexity of the components and systems handled will increase.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong background in embedded C is required.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles such as design, development, testing, and product problem solving is essential.
  • Experience in Python or Groovy programming languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate product software problems and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver verified software features.
  • Own problem resolution for moderately complex components and systems.
  • Support the improvement of product software development processes and tools.
  • Engage in independent execution of established work processes while developing technology knowledge.
