The Silicon Program Manager role at Apple involves driving front-end silicon program schedules and resolving technical issues to ensure on-time silicon delivery for next-generation products. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in SoC/VLSI Chip Design, ASIC Chip Design, or Technology process development.
- Experience working in a multifaceted engineering environment with strong multi-tasking skills.
- Technical Program or Project Management or Functional Management experience.
- Phenomenal leadership and interpersonal skills with executive communication capabilities.
- Expertise in owning and driving project development using well-defined metrics.
- Experience working with ASIC & VLSI design flows and leading silicon projects from concept to production.
- Programming language experience in Javascript, Python, or Perl.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
Responsibilities
- Work on a Program Management team to orchestrate technical issue resolution for on-time silicon delivery.
- Drive internal program processes to ensure high-quality silicon definition and design execution.
- Support high-level milestone execution within a fast-paced design team.
- Interface with multi-functional teams to address and resolve silicon issues.
- Focus design teams on achieving near-term goals and unblocking technical issues.
- Run dependencies across various programs, functional teams, and sites.
- Coordinate and manage interactions with other organizations including Systems, SW, and Ops.
- Attend and lead technical sessions with suppliers and design partners to address issues and customer concerns.
- Report on issues, track bugs, and communicate program risks and status.
