The Analyst position on the Natural Resources (Energy) team in Houston is designed for motivated individuals looking to advance their careers in energy finance. This role offers a strong foundation in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and client management within the energy sector. The team focuses on a diverse portfolio of North American-based companies in Upstream, Midstream Oil & Gas, and Clean Energy Transition sectors. Analysts will gain real-world experience while contributing to the team's success and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with financial modeling, financial data analysis, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain Series 63 and 79 licenses, and pass SIE within 150 days of joining.
Responsibilities
- Cover a portfolio of 10-20 clients in conjunction with deal teams.
- Act as a primary contributor and reviewer in all facets of deal execution.
- Support senior bankers in managing client relationships and interact with internal partners.
- Assist with the training and professional development of junior Analysts.
- Conduct detailed company research and industry analysis to identify key trends.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made and ensure compliance.
