The Sr. leader of the ME Conveyor Engineering team at Rivian will oversee a group of skilled engineers focused on creating innovative conveyor systems for electric vehicle production. This role emphasizes redefining manufacturing standards and integrating advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency. The team will work closely with suppliers and contractors to ensure seamless implementation and troubleshooting of conveyor systems. • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business with equivalent industrial experience
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in automation engineering and tooling and equipment implementation and optimization
• Strong technical knowledge in conveyance, AGVs, and automation
• Proven knowledge of co-design with automation equipment suppliers
• Demonstrated ability in effectively conveying complex information to diverse audiences
• Strong financial acumen with a proven track record of managing budgets and ensuring projects meet financial targets

• Manage a team of conveyor and AGV engineers and specialists supporting all centers
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize conveyor, AGV, and equipment operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
• Own and maintain a common set of ME Conveyor and AGV equipment and process specifications
• Drive implementation of best practices through process optimization and new technologies
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to safety and quality
• Support the application of digital design tools to minimize rework and enable full equipment simulation
• Apply cost engineering principles to analyze and optimize project costs
