Rivian is seeking an intern to join the SoC validation team for the Fall 2026 term. The role focuses on refining and executing the SoC validation plan using C/C++ software and FPGA technology. Interns will work on validating SoC for next-generation hardware designs and generating test coverage reports. • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
• Actively pursuing a degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proficient in C/C++ and a scripting language such as Python or Linux shell.
• Good knowledge in FPGA design and Verilog languages.
• Strong analytical skills and good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with courses or projects focusing on platform or embedded software development.

• Work with the SoC validation team to refine and execute the SoC validation plan.
• Use C/C++ software and FPGA technology to validate SoC for the next generation hardware design.
• Generate test coverage reports.
• Build benchmark tools to evaluate performance of the hardware system.
• Document validation progress and results in Rivian’s tracking system.
