Job description
The ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) involves working closely with customers to design and implement tailored cloud solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. The PCA acts as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on industry trends and emerging technologies while ensuring proposed solutions are realistic and achievable. Requirements
- 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
- Strong hands-on development experience with modern programming languages such as Python and Java
- 3+ years of experience with the AWS service suite and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Advanced technology degree or AWS Professional level certifications preferred
- Deep understanding of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards such as HIPAA and GDPR
- Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in technical pre-sales and mission-focused solution architecture
Responsibilities
- Design complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions to deliver customer business outcomes.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices during pre-sales and implementation phases.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.
