Job description
NVIDIA is looking for a Hardware Security engineer to work with the GPU HW Security team to ensure that GPU architecture aligns with the company's hardware security objectives. The role involves developing tools and tests to analyze and verify designs while addressing risks and vulnerabilities in hardware and firmware layers. The engineer will also assist in defining and implementing security features for GPUs, particularly in data center environments. This position requires a strong focus on both hardware development and security practices.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant hardware development experience with a focus on hardware security.
- Proficient C/C++ programming and low-level firmware experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic product-oriented team.
Responsibilities
- Support the GPU HW Security architects to ensure a robust and secure service posture from design to implementation in multiple products.
- Develop tools using Perl and Python scripts to analyze and document vulnerabilities in current and upcoming designs.
- Develop tests that run on the GPU architectural model to verify security features.
- Perform security reviews of firmware and hardware designs and assist others to ensure the quality and robustness of products.
- Assist in defining architectural and micro-architectural details for features that improve the security of GPUs.
- Assist in the implementation and verification of hardware features that enhance the security of GPUs.
