As an Amazon Field Engineer, you will support critical infrastructure in AWS data centers, focusing on the full building lifecycle from design to maintenance. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure safety, security, and efficiency across AWS facilities. Your role will involve troubleshooting critical failures and developing corrective actions while managing multiple projects across regions. • 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers.
• Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on experience with BMS, BAS, SCADA, PLC, or power monitoring platforms.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems including cooling and power distribution.
• Experience writing and standardizing controls code and managing version control.
• Proficiency using Python, SQL, and visualization tools for data analysis.
• Experience applying machine learning or generative AI tools for engineering tasks.

• Lead post-event engineering analysis for controls-related incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Develop, review, and maintain controls logic and reusable code templates for equipment.
• Own the full engineering lifecycle for legacy controls pilots from request intake to execution.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex controls issues and support investigations.
• Provide engineering support for proprietary and third-party controls products.
• Build and maintain technical baselines including test scripts and engineering playbooks.
• Develop engineering standards and system-health metrics to improve control system reliability.
• Partner with facility operations and other teams to resolve technical issues.
