Job description
The Technical Lead, Technical Production will oversee the technical infrastructure for live events and activations at Worldwide Events and Experiences. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful execution of large-scale productions, including concerts and corporate events. The team is composed of professionals with diverse backgrounds in event design and technical production. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to manage complex systems and coordinate with various stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical production, broadcast engineering, or systems integration for live events.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying fiber, power, and network infrastructure for live events.
- Deep knowledge of LED display systems and signal distribution.
- Proven experience with comms/intercom systems and RF coordination.
- Strong knowledge of live audio systems and Dante network design.
- Familiarity with lighting power distribution and lighting consoles.
- Understanding of SMPTE ST 2110 and IP-based video/audio transport workflows.
- Proficiency in creating signal flow and system architecture drawings using design tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, design, and execution of core technical systems for live events.
- Own end-to-end infrastructure planning for technical systems.
- Produce signal flow and infrastructure drawings.
- Coordinate with venue and vendor partners for event execution.
- Lead a team through planning and on-site execution of live events.
- Ensure every show runs on a resilient and scalable technical foundation.
- Assess infrastructure feasibility across diverse locations.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for stakeholders.
