Job description
The Senior Manager, Technical Production will lead the production strategy within the Worldwide Events organization, focusing on live and film production. This role requires a hybrid skillset to innovate and enhance how Apple connects with global audiences through various events. The team is responsible for managing end-to-end production workflows, ensuring high-quality execution across diverse environments. Candidates should possess strong leadership abilities and deep technical expertise in both live and cinematic production.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in live event production, film production, or hybrid production environments.
- Deep expertise in both live production and cinematic production workflows.
- Strong understanding of film production set operations and departmental roles.
- Advanced knowledge of video codecs, formats, and recording systems.
- Strong understanding of color pipelines and grading processes using tools like Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
- Expertise in lighting design for film and live environments.
- 5+ years of experience with LED display systems.
- 5+ years of experience in live and recorded audio production.
- Working knowledge of live streaming and broadcast infrastructure.
- Experience designing power distribution and redundancy strategies for live production.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution of all non-theater productions.
- Oversee the development of production workflows integrating live broadcast and cinematic capture.
- Ensure alignment across infrastructure, signal flow, and execution strategy with Technical Operations and Stage Production teams.
- Build and scale a high-performing production team.
- Lead productions in high-pressure, executive-facing environments.
- Manage location scouting and production planning across diverse environments.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Design and execute immersive and spatial audio formats.
- Stay updated on emerging production technologies and advancements.
