The Software Development Engineer role in the Amazon Product Knowledge team focuses on building solutions that enhance customer and selling partner experiences through high-quality product knowledge. The team aims to create a semantically rich body of product data that supports informed purchasing decisions and efficient product listing. Engineers will work in an agile environment to develop scalable software services and collaborate with senior engineers. Innovation and pushing boundaries are key expectations for this role.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Build platforms and solutions to enable data science and analytics capabilities
- Develop web scale ontology creation and entity recognition functionalities
- Improve data quality and discover new relationships within product data
- Support strategic and tactical decision-making through knowledge inferencing and enhancement
- Collaborate regularly with Senior Software Development Engineers and Principal Engineers
