You will join the Elastic Block Storage organization to develop a new tier 1 AWS service aimed at enhancing the block storage experience for customers. The position emphasizes architecting large-scale distributed systems and improving resource utilization to reduce costs. You will work closely with an agile team that values quick iterations and high-quality product delivery.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Architect large-scale distributed systems to improve availability and performance
• Develop distributed systems that manage millions of hardware resources
• Ensure the health of the overall storage system
• Participate in on-call responsibilities to support AWS services
