Job description

The Applications Development Engineer will focus on developing and implementing product applications for both existing and pre-release products to maximize customer value. This role is part of KLA's Global Products Group, which is dedicated to metrology and inspection products for semiconductor manufacturing. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, working autonomously on projects. The position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have a master's or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be a strong team player.
  • 70% travel will be required.
  • Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 0-2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement product applications for existing and pre-release products.
  • Support projects related to new product introduction including characterization, alpha testing, beta testing, and pilot tools.
  • Perform product diagnosis and problem resolution while interfacing with software and systems engineering.
  • Conduct customer product demonstrations and provide technical training to Field Applications Engineers and end users.
  • Document all test results and lessons learned in Best Known Methods, training documents, and demo reports.
