Job description
The Channel Store Product Design Engineer will be part of the Channel Store Product Design team, which focuses on creating innovative store fixtures that enhance the customer experience in partner stores. This role requires a creative problem solver who can navigate the challenges of an early-stage team while balancing aesthetics, safety, and functionality. The engineer will work closely with vendors to develop solutions that effectively merchandise Apple products and support store operations. Collaboration and a willingness to learn are essential, as the team values diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and 7 years of relevant experience
- Strong mechanical intuition and understanding of solid mechanics and material properties
- Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software
- Familiarity with metal manufacturing methodologies
- Experience with FEA, DFMEA, and root cause analysis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of program design goals, including installation and maintenance requirements.
- Guide vendors through the design of a variety of store fixtures.
- Create solutions that effectively merchandise and showcase Apple products.
