·FY 2025Job description
NVIDIA's Automotive Offensive Security team is seeking a senior engineer to enhance the security of automotive operating systems by identifying vulnerabilities and developing automation tools. The role focuses on low-level technologies such as OS kernels, hypervisors, and firmware. The engineer will work closely with security researchers and engineers to create reusable security capabilities. This position emphasizes both vulnerability discovery and the automation of security processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on programming experience, particularly with C/C++.
- Proficiency in Python and memory-safe languages such as Rust or Ada/SPARK is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong low-level systems security background, including OS internals, kernels, hypervisors, firmware, or hardware.
- Experience with embedded software engineering and foundational computer science concepts.
- Experience building automated security tooling, including fuzzers and static/dynamic analysis.
- Knowledge of current operating system architectures and security frameworks, particularly Linux.
- Proven understanding of x86 and ARM architecture.
- Hands-on experience developing agentic AI systems for automating security workflows.
Responsibilities
- Discover and evaluate vulnerabilities on both source code and binaries.
- Focus on low-level technologies such as OS kernels, hypervisors, boot ROMs, and firmware.
- Develop and build automation to scale security work, including security pipelines and fuzzing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with security researchers and engineers to own tool development from prototype to production.
- Create tools for automated code inspection and code conversion.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
