Citi Research is looking for a Vice President Equity Research Analyst to join the Banks research team, focusing on high-quality investment research for institutional clients. This role involves engaging with company management teams and communicating investment insights while navigating a dynamic financial services sector. The analyst will develop investment theses, maintain financial models, and produce actionable research. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights are essential for success in this position.

• 6–10 years of relevant professional experience in equity research, investment banking, asset management, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate investment theses through written research and presentations.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with institutional investors and company management teams.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
• Securities licenses as required by the role, or ability to obtain applicable licenses.

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research and financial analysis across companies within the Banks sector.
• Develop differentiated investment theses and actionable investment ideas based on various factors.
• Build, maintain, and enhance detailed financial models, including earnings forecasts and valuation frameworks.
• Author and contribute to high-quality research publications, including thematic research and industry reports.
• Monitor company, sector, regulatory, and macroeconomic developments.
• Engage with institutional investors and communicate investment views.
• Build and maintain relationships with company management teams and industry participants.
• Participate in company meetings, investor events, and industry conferences.
• Partner closely with colleagues across Research, Sales, Trading, and other areas of Citi.
• Identify and incorporate new data sources and analytical techniques to enhance research quality.
• Establish yourself as a subject matter expert within the Banks sector.
• Provide informal leadership within the team, including mentoring junior colleagues.
