Job description

NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design Group is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to lead the integration of AI solutions into the design and automation infrastructure for chip production. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and intelligence of workflows, driving initiatives from concept to deployment. The engineer will work closely with multi-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and evaluate emerging technologies. This position offers a chance to make a significant impact in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying ML/AI systems or data-intensive backend services.
  • 2+ years of direct Applied AI experience independently owning an AI agent or intelligent automation system end-to-end.
  • Strong Python skills and proficiency in at least one static language such as C, C++, C#, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, including computer architecture and hardware interaction.
  • Hands-on experience in production test, system validation, or silicon productization areas.
  • Experience working within a silicon development environment and familiarity with manufacturing and quality metrics.
  • Proven track record in balancing multiple concurrent projects and applying excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy AI systems for post-silicon validation to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams to identify and build AI solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging AI frameworks and architectures for potential adoption.
  • Build data systems to measure AI impact and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
