Job description
The Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer role at Intel involves ensuring the architectural correctness and functional robustness of Atom CPU designs before first silicon. The position is part of the All Cores Engineering organization, which focuses on designing industry-leading CPU cores. This hands-on role requires collaboration with various teams to improve design quality and verification effectiveness. The engineer will also influence architecture decisions and maintain verification methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in design verification methodologies using SystemVerilog, UVM, and industry-standard EDA tools.
- Experience in pre-silicon verification of CPU, SoC, or complex IP designs.
Responsibilities
- Lead pre-silicon functional verification of complex CPU and SoC logic to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Develop and execute verification plans, testbenches, and SystemVerilog/UVM environments.
- Define, run, and analyze system-level simulations to uncover various issues.
- Debug and root-cause complex RTL, microarchitecture, and integration issues.
- Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL designers, and other teams to improve design quality.
- Influence architecture and microarchitecture definitions by providing verification feedback.
- Maintain, enhance, and scale verification infrastructure and methodologies.
- Document verification strategies, results, and lead technical discussions.
