Job description

The CPU Circuit Technology team is seeking a CPU Memory Design Engineer to design and develop advanced memory technologies for Intel CPUs and SOCs. This role involves working in a dynamic environment focused on high-performance, low-power memory designs. The engineer will collaborate with domain experts to innovate and optimize memory circuits, ensuring they meet stringent power, performance, and area constraints. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in the semiconductor industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a STEM-related field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in CMOS circuit design and digital logic optimizations.
  • Expertise in Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) circuits and design methodologies.
  • Experience in low-power implementation techniques and memory design.
  • Familiarity with circuit and layout trade-offs for optimized design.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and build full-custom and compiler-based SRAMs, Large Signal Arrays, ROMs, and custom memories.
  • Conduct memory circuit design, characterization, and simulations.
  • Perform cache design and critical path simulations to meet power, performance, and area constraints.
  • Engage in memory path-finding activities and optimize power, performance, and area.
  • Define methodologies and execute project schedules for memory array/IP design and innovation.
