Job description
This role involves working with a talented team of engineers to build the next generation systems for Apple's Finance and Accounting capabilities. The focus is on developing integrated technology solutions that enhance productivity and automation across general and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science and experience in designing scalable systems. This position requires a proactive individual who can communicate effectively and solve complex problems.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable systems and services in Java or other JVM-based languages.
- 4 years of experience with different data store technologies including SQL and NoSQL.
- 2 years of experience in Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and messaging technologies such as Kafka.
- 2 years of experience in financial engineering with knowledge of payment and commerce transaction processing.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
- Practical experience with Postgres and MongoDB.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Deployment experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Envision, design, develop, and deliver components of a well-integrated, distributed system for financial capabilities.
- Write proposals to solve complex problems and turn them into product features.
- Collaborate with business teams to develop custom tools that improve productivity.
- Ensure reliability, scale, availability, and accuracy in payment systems.
- Communicate thoughtfully and establish long-term relationships with stakeholders.
