Job description
The Security Engineering Program Manager for China Security & Infrastructure in the Apple Services Engineering team will lead compliance initiatives and ensure that Apple's services meet security and regulatory objectives in mainland China. This role requires collaboration with various teams across Apple and interaction with Chinese regulators. The position demands a strategic leader with expertise in enterprise security, cloud infrastructure, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will drive security improvements while balancing compliance requirements with user experience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in program management focused on infrastructure security and compliance or 5+ years in program management combined with 5+ years in a related field.
- Deep expertise in China's regulatory landscape regarding cybersecurity, data localization, and privacy laws.
- Proven track record of interfacing with government regulators, auditors, and legal teams on technical security matters.
- Exceptional communication skills to convey complex information to technical audiences and executive leadership.
- Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs across global time zones.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native infrastructure, distributed systems, and enterprise security controls.
- Advanced ability to identify, assess, and prioritize systemic security and compliance risks.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Law, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience operating as a TPM or EPM in a large-scale enterprise technology company.
- Experience with cloud security architectures and partner-operated infrastructure models in China.
- Industry certifications in security, privacy, or compliance such as CISSP, CISM, or CIPP/A.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overarching security and compliance strategy for Apple services in mainland China.
- Navigate complex regulatory landscapes and drive large-scale infrastructure security improvements.
- Represent Apple's technical security posture to Chinese regulators and internal executives.
- Identify, plan, and deliver critical security outcomes by engaging internal and external stakeholders.
- Balance rigorous compliance requirements with Apple's standards for privacy and user experience.
