Job description
The iPhone team is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join their world-class engineering team. This role focuses on the development and integration of new technologies for rigid, flex, and substrate PCB designs across iPhone products. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in San Diego. Requirements
- BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent with strong engineering fundamentals
- 5+ years of industry experience or 2+ years of project lead experience
- Experience with electrical system integration involving product-focused module and mechanical cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Experience with schematic capture and rigid/flexible PCB layout
- Understanding of low voltage power regulation and delivery
- Hands-on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult/intermittent hardware issues
- Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from early architecture through to production
- Exposure to solving unwanted coupling and interference between subsystems
- Experience in prototype design and validation of custom silicon
- Ability to use scripting languages to assist with hardware development
