Job description
The Platform Architecture group at Apple is looking for a systems software engineer to develop and support innovative technologies for best-in-class system prototypes. This role involves collaborating with engineers across Apple to create and deploy prototype systems that enhance the integration of hardware and software. The engineer will work closely with silicon engineering teams on next-generation chips that impact millions of users globally. A passion for crafting elegant cloud solutions and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience with programming languages such as Go, Swift, or C++ and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Understanding and practical experience with HTTP, DNS, RPC frameworks, databases, and operating systems.
- Good understanding of Cloud security concepts and knowledge of Authentication/Authorization frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, Podman, or Apple Container.
- Experience using AI Agents or LLMs in software development.
- Exposure to Silicon workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support new technologies for system prototypes.
- Collaborate with engineers to build and deploy forward-looking prototype systems.
- Support silicon engineering teams in the development of next-generation chips.
- Debug complex systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement best practices in cloud security and system architecture.
