This individual contributor position requires deep expertise in Go and distributed systems, with a strong emphasis on designing resilient and efficient backend services. The engineer will work alongside senior engineers to tackle complex problems and contribute to the architecture of systems handling petabytes of data.

- Good understanding of database internals, including storage engines, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- 4 to 12 years of overall experience.
- Experience contributing to observability platforms, including metrics pipelines, log aggregation, and Application Performance Monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to the design and implementation of core backend services.
- Take ownership of significant components of a mission-critical service.

- Build skills to tackle increasingly complex problems across the stack.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
