Job description
As a Silicon Program Manager at Apple, you will drive front-end silicon program schedules and resolve technical issues to ensure on-time delivery of silicon for next-generation products. This individual contributor role focuses on the initial phases of architecture, specifications, design, and pre-silicon prototyping. You will work closely with multi-functional teams to address technical challenges and support high-level milestone execution in a fast-paced environment. Your efforts will help shape groundbreaking silicon that powers Apple's innovative products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in SoC/VLSI Chip Design, ASIC Chip Design, or Technology process development
- Experience working in a multifaceted engineering environment with strong multi-tasking skills
- Technical Program or Project Management or Functional Management experience
- Programming language experience in Javascript, Python, or Perl
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Confluence and JIRA
Responsibilities
- Drive internal program processes to guarantee high-quality silicon definition and design execution
- Support high-level milestone execution in a fast-paced design team
- Interface and drive silicon issues within multi-functional teams including Design, Verification, Validation, Technology, System Hardware, and Core Software
- Focus design teams on meeting near-term achievements and unblocking technical issues
- Run dependencies across various programs, functional teams, and sites
- Attend and drive technical sessions with suppliers and design partners to supervise and follow-up on issues
- Report focused issues, track bugs, and communicate program risks and status
