Job description
As a Silicon Program Manager at Apple, you will drive front-end silicon program schedules and resolve technical issues to ensure on-time silicon delivery for next-generation products. This individual contributor role focuses on the early phases of architecture, specifications, design, and pre-silicon prototyping. You will work closely with multi-functional teams and coordinate with post-silicon validation teams to achieve high-quality silicon outcomes. Your leadership and technical expertise will be crucial in managing dependencies and unblocking issues throughout the development process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in SoC/VLSI Chip Design, ASIC Chip Design, or Technology process development
- Experience working in a multifaceted engineering environment with strong multi-tasking skills
- Technical Program or Project Management or Functional Management experience
- Programming language experience in Javascript, Python, or Perl
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Confluence and JIRA
Responsibilities
- Drive internal program processes to ensure high-quality silicon definition and design execution
- Support high-level milestone execution in a fast-paced design team
- Interface and drive silicon issues within multi-functional teams including Design, Verification, Validation, Technology, System Hardware, and Core Software
- Focus design teams on meeting near-term achievements and resolving technical issues through data-driven decision-making
- Run dependencies across various programs, functional teams, and sites
- Coordinate and manage interactions with other organizations such as Systems, SW, and Ops
- Attend and lead technical sessions with suppliers and design partners to address issues and customer concerns
- Report focused issues, track bugs, and communicate program risks and status
