The Supplier Development Engineering Manager for Mechanical Operations at Google will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality hardware products. The manager will ensure that manufacturing capabilities meet Google's product requirements while maintaining quality and efficiency. • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Operations, Hardware Engineering, Materials or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in manufacturing specifically surface finishing, CNC, 3D printing, PVD, painting, MIM, polishing and lapping.
• 10 years of experience in manufacturing.
• 8 years of experience in people management.
• Experience in mechanical bonding like riveting, laser welding, and adhesives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver Google Hardware products to market.
• Provide detailed design for manufacturing reviews of mechanical parts and make recommendations to improve manufacturing processes.
• Use statistical process control and yield studies to validate process capability and drive process improvements.
• Act as the go-to person for identifying suitable manufacturing processes and highlight manufacturability issues during engineering builds.
• Work with Reliability Engineering to set up ongoing reliability test plans for critical manufacturing processes.
