Job description
The Structural Design and Analysis Engineer for Sensors at Google will work within the TechEng sensing team, focusing on sensor technologies for consumer devices. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in a structural mechanics and finite element analysis simulation environment.
- 3 years of experience using simulation and design tools such as Abaqus, Ansys Mechanical, and Hypermesh.
Responsibilities
- Build verified, calibrated, and validated finite element analysis and analytical models for mechanical parts.
- Conduct static, dynamic, and structural analyses to predict field failures and impacts on sensor functionality.
- Correlate simulation results with physical performance to drive early design optimization.
- Explore and integrate materials and technologies to advance team capabilities.
- Partner cross-functionally to create analysis plans and deliver data-driven solutions.
