Job description

Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization is seeking a Program Manager to lead the strategy, design, and management of large technical programs. The role involves working within the Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) team, which delivers global-scale platforms and services that secure Apple's operations. The ideal candidate will combine analytical skills with business acumen to drive operational excellence and leverage AI tools for improved decision-making. This position requires a passion for building solutions that handle global complexity and immense scale.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in technical program management and delivery.
  • Exceptional ability to decompose highly ambiguous, unstructured problems.
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience as a technical thought leader, influencing leadership decision-making through data-driven insights and executive storytelling.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to master new applications and technologies quickly.
  • Hands-on exposure to GenAI capabilities and concepts.
  • Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm or investment bank.
  • Experience handling technical programs with regulatory impacts.
  • Experience building solutions using GenAI, with a strong understanding of LLM application architecture, vector databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and evaluation frameworks.
  • High proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience building functional applications using AI orchestration libraries and integrating enterprise APIs.
  • MBA preferred.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Structure and execute multi-stream, high-budget technical transformations.
  • Apply formal consulting frameworks to map complex workflows, quantify ROI, and drive change management across global business units.
  • Act as a technical thought leader, influencing C-suite decision-making through data-driven insights and executive storytelling.
  • Work directly alongside business functions to deeply understand their workflows and pain points.
  • Manage program budgets, compute resource allocations, and business case modeling with rigor and precision.
  • Drive complex technical blockers and issues during deployment, acting as a liaison between business function needs and the product engineering teams.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
