AWS is seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer for the Amazon Dedicated Cloud Network Scaling and Deployment team. This role focuses on expanding AWS's next-generation IP network infrastructure through automation and innovative cloud networking technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale enterprise environments and will be responsible for driving complex issues to resolution. The team is dedicated to providing connectivity to dedicated US Government customers and maintaining high standards across networking tools.

• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
• Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications such as CEH, CFR, Cloud+, GICSP, or SSCP
• 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols
• 4+ years of experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
• Knowledge of networking protocols including HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP
• Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

• Lead the planning and delivery of network scaling and build projects, including high-level and low-level reviews.
• Maintain Amazon Web Services' next generation networks by providing critical network support.
• Troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configuration issues.
• Drive and support innovation across the network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the broader Network/Infrastructure organization on engineering and configuration standards.
• Work closely with Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams for smooth roll-out of new designs.
• Create and review documentation regarding network implementation and deployments.
