The role is for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) on the WorkSpaces team within the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization. The team focuses on building intuitive and differentiated business applications that enhance day-to-day operations for millions of companies. The SDE will work on designing and building features for a cloud desktop and interactive streaming platform, ensuring high performance and reliability. This position offers the opportunity to solve complex problems in a rapidly evolving End User Computing market.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and code reviews
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and build features for the cloud desktop and interactive streaming platform from scoping through production.
• Write clean, maintainable code that runs at scale and optimize real-time streaming paths for latency and reliability.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on system design and architecture decisions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to operational excellence across the team.
• Evaluate new approaches to keep the streaming platform best-in-class.
