Job description
The Senior Manufacturing Test Development Engineer for Machine Learning at Google will be part of a team that develops custom silicon solutions for Google's products. This role focuses on managing the deployment of critical test infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between hardware design and manufacturing processes. The engineer will work within the Machine Learning New Product Introduction team, which is essential for deploying next-generation ML capacity. This position involves technical leadership and collaboration with various stakeholders to optimize manufacturing test strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field is preferred.
- 10 years of experience with architecting complex manufacturing test solutions for CPU/GPU based products.
- Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
Responsibilities
- Define and document comprehensive manufacturing test strategies that balance test coverage, production capacity, and technical risk.
- Oversee board and system-level test development while managing schedules, budgets, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Identify technical and operational risks and develop effective mitigation strategies for volume manufacturing deployments.
- Partner with design engineering teams to drive Design for Test initiatives and maintain communication with stakeholders.
- Author and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including end-to-end test processes and detailed test plans.
