Job description

The Silicon Validation Engineering Manager for Cloud at Google will lead a team focused on custom TPU silicon, driving the validation of AI/ML hardware acceleration. This role involves strategizing and coordinating resources for silicon programs, ensuring the successful introduction and quality of new products. The manager will work closely with various teams, including hardware, software, and manufacturing, to meet functional and performance requirements. This position is critical in shaping the future of Google's TPU technology and its integration within AI/ML systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in silicon validation, focusing on digital systems or accelerators with high-speed interfaces.
  • Experience as a manager or in technical leadership for new product introduction in custom silicon.
  • Experience with System Verilog, Firmware, C++, or Scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Silicon Validation team by planning, coordinating resources, and executing custom silicon programs.
  • Develop and implement silicon validation strategy, coordinating and reviewing test plans across silicon subsystems and systems.
  • Execute custom silicon new product introduction, including silicon bringup, qualification, and sustaining quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the broader silicon group on current and future post-silicon issues, recommending improvements.
  • Serve as the primary point of silicon validation to internal and external partners for silicon and system delivery.
