The Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility team is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join their Fleet Management team in North Reading, MA. This role involves designing and developing services for task allocation and resource tracking for autonomous vehicles. The team focuses on creating highly scalable robotic systems that integrate seamlessly into the Amazon fulfillment network. Candidates will work collaboratively with a diverse group of engineers and have opportunities to mentor others while influencing the team's long-term strategy.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure
• Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term vision and roadmap
• Work with stakeholders across the organization to iterate on design and implementation
• Maintain high standards by participating in reviews and designing for fault tolerance
• Prototype and test concepts or features through simulation and with live robotic equipment
• Work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedback
• Mentor other engineers on the team
