The Systems Development Engineer role focuses on developing video analytics functionality and innovative security solutions using AI technologies. The team is dedicated to building a world-class video analytics and security infrastructure for Amazon's fulfillment teams globally. This hands-on position involves strategic planning, system development, and customer support to ensure high-quality results. The ideal candidate will drive innovation and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to meet their needs.

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale.
• Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.

• Create and maintain cloud-based video analytics solutions for internal stakeholders.
• Create and maintain cloud-based automation applications for the deployment and configuration of 1P and 3P video solutions.
• Continuously strive for operational excellence by providing cost-effective and highly available solutions.
• Participate in the original creation and implementation of scalable infrastructure automation tools.
• Ensure that all products are designed to be secure, robust, scalable, maintainable, and adaptable.
• Build instrumentation to provide visibility into the health of products, along with alerting and self-healing capabilities.
• Uphold a high standard of code quality and engineering excellence.
