Job description
The IT Support Engineer II role at Amazon Operations Technology Solutions focuses on providing technical support and improving technology solutions across multiple sites. The position requires managing large projects with minimal guidance and resolving customer issues effectively. Candidates will expand their knowledge in software design patterns, AWS technologies, and distributed systems. Requirements
- 3+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience
- 4+ years of IT systems or relevant commercial production environment experience
- 4+ years of networking experience including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP
- 4+ years of Microsoft administration, Linux administration, or Cisco IOS (CLI) experience
- 4+ years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user high availability environment
- 4+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 3+ years of supporting a Windows server environment experience
- Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot difficult IT problems without SOPs.
- Plan and coordinate CMs and CM templates.
- Collaborate with internal teams or vendors to execute projects.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Audit the quality of work performed and provide constructive feedback when necessary.
- Automate manual tasks and create or improve small tools to enhance team operations.
- Serve as the first point of escalation.
- Participate in hiring, training, and development of others.
- Support customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers.
- Travel within your local or regional area to support customers.
