This role involves writing code for a new security evaluation platform at Amazon that automates the review of code changes. The team aims to eliminate bottlenecks in security reviews by developing an engine that evaluates changes and determines the necessary level of scrutiny. As part of a new team, you will have the opportunity to build features from the ground up while collaborating with senior engineers and security experts. The focus is on creating a system that enhances efficiency and reduces wait times for developers.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate features of the platform that evaluates code changes for security risk.
• Own features across their full lifecycle, from understanding customer needs to production operation and documentation.
• Write code that meets high standards for correctness, testing, security, and operability.
• Build and tune automated evaluation logic in collaboration with security engineers.
• Partner with senior engineers on design and clarify incomplete requirements.
• Participate actively in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Engage in operational support and on-call duties to identify and fix root causes of issues.
• Document software functionality, operation, and integration into the larger system.
