Amazon is looking for a System Reliability Engineer to develop advanced robotic solutions that enhance automation at scale. This role involves working with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the reliability and supportability of robotic systems. The engineer will focus on optimizing product performance and lifecycle costs while advocating for customer needs during the design process. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems
- ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer or equivalent
- Advanced degree in Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another applicable discipline
- Experience in automotive, defense, or industrial product development
Responsibilities
- Provide Design for Reliability, Maintainability and Supportability guidance to new product and solutions introduction teams
- Develop reliability models for complex electro-mechanical systems
- Develop RAM Models for Amazon products and systems
- Develop Failure Modes Effects Analysis
- Develop reliability test plans and data collection strategies
- Assess vendor reliability data
- Advocate for the customer during the design process on failure modes, fault diagnostics and impacts to product supportability
- Design tool kits, identify custom tools and other support mechanisms for Robotic Systems
- Develop lifecycle support strategies and mechanisms for new products
- Ensure supportability requirements and concerns are addressed for field launch
- Work to identify opportunities for improved maintenance strategies
- Develop tools, and assist with processes to expand diagnostic capabilities, improve ergonomics, and reduce troubleshooting time
