The DoorDash People Applications team is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the development and scaling of applications related to talent acquisition, compensation, and employee experience. This role focuses on shaping the technical direction and product strategy of the People platform, particularly in leveraging AI to enhance efficiency and innovation. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure impactful solutions for employees across all DoorDash brands. It is a hybrid role reporting to the Senior Manager of Enterprise App Engineering.

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams of 5 or more engineers.
• 7+ years of industry experience in software development, ideally in HR-related applications.
• Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment.
• Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Generative AI development and fine-tuning.
• Deep technical background with NodeJs/TypeScript, React, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of full stack engineers across multiple locations.
• Partner with the team to define the architectural roadmap.
• Oversee the development of core People Application product experiences.
• Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Establish best practices in development processes, testing, release management, and monitoring.
• Leverage AI and automation to improve developer velocity and business outcomes.
