Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to support ASIC development. Candidates will work on complex integrated circuit designs and evaluate various aspects of the design process. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in hardware verification.
  • Familiarity with ASIC design and ASIC tools including synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, and static timing analysis.
  • Proficiency in design flows and methodologies used for chip verification.
  • Knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Experience with C, C++, or Python.
  • Understanding of CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture.
  • Experience in functional verification of microprocessors.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
