Job description
AMD is seeking a Product Development Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to enhance next-generation AMD microprocessors. The engineer will work on ASIC development, including architecture design and functional verification. This position offers multiple openings and does not require travel.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
- Experience in functional verification of microprocessors.
- Experience in performing hardware verification.
- Experience in utilizing statistical analysis to resolve product mean and outliers.
- Familiarity with automatic test equipment (ATE).
- Knowledge of semiconductor product development cycles.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Plan, debug, and handle manufacturing and characterization test programs for AMD microprocessors.
- Validate new product features, test conditions, methodologies, and contents during first silicon bring-up.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards and processors, in the design and testing of AMD products.
