AMD is seeking a MTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves overseeing ASIC development, determining architecture design, and leading the layout of complex integrated circuits. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and drive projects of significant technical importance. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the relevant fields and five years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
- Experience in hardware verification, Verilog and VHDL, and design flows and methodologies used for chip verification.
- Proficiency in Unix and Linux environments, UVM, C, and C++.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design and resolve complex issues.
- Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
- Utilize knowledge of engineering principles and technologies to design, develop, and test various AMD products.
