AMD is seeking a MTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves leading ASIC development and optimizing designs to meet power, performance, area, and timing requirements. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams to address significant technical challenges and drive projects of importance. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- Alternate combination of education and experience accepted: Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Lead definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Optimize designs to meet power, performance, area, and timing requirements.
- Create assertions to improve coverage and analyze coverage of the design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design.
- Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
