  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent and five years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Experience in modern computer architecture, including processor pipeline and memory hierarchy.
  • Hands-on work in C++ programming for hardware modeling or testbench development.
  • Experience in logic design and representing the same in HDL (Verilog or VHDL).
  • Knowledge of assembly language programming and Instruction Set Architecture of a modern microprocessor.
  • Familiarity with hardware verification methodology and techniques such as simulation, debug, coverage, or formal.
  • Experience working in a Unix or Linux environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby.
  • Experience with hardware or logic simulators (VCS or NC-Verilog).
  • Familiarity with debug tools or waveform viewers.
  • Knowledge of verification languages (Specman, System Verilog, or UVM).
  • Experience with formal verification tools and techniques.
  • Ability to model hardware designs in emulators or FPGAs.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Perform pre-silicon functional verification of next-generation high-performance microprocessor designs.
  • Develop and execute verification test plans at various levels of design hierarchy including unit and full-chip environments.
  • Develop high-level language testbench components including stimulus drivers, BFMs, behavioral models, monitors, and checkers.
  • Simulate and debug directed random stimulus and assembly level tests to identify bugs in the microprocessor design.
  • Collaborate with RTL writers to resolve simulation failures and discrepancies.
  • Develop and analyze assertions and coverage terms.
  • Participate in technical reviews of specifications, design, and test plans.
  • Identify and address areas of concern to meet design quality objectives.
  • Develop tools, infrastructure, processes, and flows to enable functional verification.
  • Document test plans and testbench component plans and drive reviews with peers and stakeholders.
  • Maintain and improve existing functional verification infrastructure and methodology.
  • Replicate silicon issues in the pre-silicon environment and provide debug expertise.
  • Contribute towards and drive pre-silicon and/or post-silicon verification of complex architectural and microarchitectural features.
  • Drive project deliverables and dependencies with cross-site Architects, RTL writers, and Physical Design engineers.
  • Independently develop quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions.

Benefits
